PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Village of Steeleville employed our firm to prepare preliminary and final plans, specifications, and estimates for the reconstruction 500 L.F. of James Street from Emilie Street to Green Street.  The project is located in front of an elementary school and required careful coordination to maintain proper access during the school year.  The project was funded with Motor Fuel Tax Funds and was subject to review and approval throughout the entire process by the Illinois Department of Transportation.  A Portland Cement Concrete pavement with curb and gutter replaced the original oil and chip pavement.  Our firm was also retained to perform the construction services including staking, testing, inspection and contract administration.
